Linking with Tall Tales from Chiconia where Kate hosts January ScrapHappy Day and SoScrappy where Angela hosts ScrapHappy Saturday Tuesday.....I'm just a couple of days late....where the colour for January is blue......light blue actually, which mine definitely aren't. I realised though as I went through my blue boxes looking for suitable scraps to make the crumb blocks a bit bigger, that I have very little light blue......plenty of aqua, teal and dark blue though, so that's what I've used. Lots of inspiration on both blogs if you think your scraps are getting out of control.
.........till next time.
Cute little quilts, but those puppies! It's a good thing I'm reading blogs and not shopping because that fabric would be mine! What a great way to use up scraps, even if they're not all light blue. (I too didn't follow the color rules very well, but hey, I'm using scraps, so it's probably okay?)
ReplyDeleteI know, great puppies, hey? So we're rebel rainbow scrappers :) Thanks for visiting Katie.
ReplyDeleteAdorable dachshund fabric on the back of that aqua strings quilt, which I think is my favourite. Some worried, scared mums and dads are going to be so very grateful for these scraps of love.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember now where I got that cute fabric, and that was my last piece. Scraps of love....nice description.
DeleteAfter all that pink of course its blue now LOL
ReplyDeleteSome lovely designs too - I'm still getting over the damned flu but must do some stitching soon!!
I have some pretty yellows and greens but they don't like them for the premmies, they're often jaundiced and yellow especially makes them look worse, so pink and blue it is.That flu is hanging on, hope you're on the mend soon.x
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful use for scraps - I still can't believe they only need to be 16inches square, so tiny.
ReplyDeleteAnd when you think these quilts are for the bigger tinies who are big enough to be held.
DeleteThese sweet little preemie quilts are such a good use of your RSC16 blocks!!
ReplyDeleteThey do come out nicely with some sashing and borders.
DeleteBeautiful little blue quilts, Nanette! I love the dogs on the backing fabric! Meg:)
ReplyDeleteThanks Meg. I should've bought much more of that flannelette, and have been trying to remember where I bought it, it's perfect for tiny boys.
